REV: 07-15-25 LF
support will also be included in this phase to address request for information (RFI), review submittals, and
to assist the Grantee with quality assurance and control of final deliverables.
Project Outcomes and Benefits
Grantee Municipal Electrification project will bring the Grantee in compliance with the California Air
Resources Board (CARB) Advanced Clean Fleets (ACF) Regulations and furthering the Grantee’s Climate
Action Plan goals in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Replacing fossil fuel-powered systems with electric systems can lead to cleaner air, reducing pollutants
that contribute to respiratory problems and other health issues. Additionally, this project has the potential
to decrease the Grantee’s total cost of ownership of vehicles, reduce fuel consumption, and maintenance
expenses. Electrification enables a transition to renewable energy sources, reducing dependence on finite
fossil fuels and promoting a more sustainable energy system.
Project Budget
Phase 1 is budgeted at $219,424 in accordance with the fee schedule outlined in the contract by Grantee
with Black and Veatch Corporation for the project’s design work (see Exhibit A-1).
Phase 2 is projected at $2,901,706 (Rough Order of Magnitude [ROM] estimate).
Project Timeline
Tentative timeline for Phase-1: May 2025 – December 2025
Tentative timeline for Phase-2: January 2026 – June 2028
ATTY/AGR.2025.174/Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE Member Agency Grant Agreement) (Page 7 of 10)
