All <br />equipment listed in the policy is already owned by the Redwood City Police Department or for any new <br />acquisitions, those items will be funded through the existing budget. Training costs are also accounted for <br />in the existing budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because adopting an ordinance to approve a military equipment use policy is <br />an organizational or administrative activity that will not result in any direct or indirect physical changes in <br />the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council could: <br />1. Reintroduce the ordinance with changes <br />2. Direct department staff to present additional information before approving the ordinance <br />3.
