Redwood City Police Department <br />Redwood City PD Policy Manual <br />Military Equipment Use <br />Copyright Lexipol, LLC 2022/03/23, All Rights Reserved. <br />Published with permission by Redwood City Police <br />Department <br />DRAFT Military Equipment Use 5 <br />Military equipment used by other jurisdictions that are providing mutual aid to this jurisdiction <br />shall comply with their respective military equipment use policies in rendering mutual aid. This <br />shall be the requirement for both planned and exigent mutual aid requests. <br />703.10 METHODS FOR REGISTERING A COMPLAINT <br />Pursuant to California Government Code §7070(d)(7), members of the public may register <br />complaints or concerns or submit questions about the use of each specific type of military <br />equipment in this policy by any of the following means: <br />(a) Via email to: RCPD@redwoodcity.org <br />(b) Via phone call to: (650) 780-7100 <br />(c) Via mail sent to: <br />Redwood City Police Department <br />Attn: Military Equipment Compliance <br />Officer 1301 Maple Street <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />The Redwood City Police Department is committed to responding to complaints, concerns and/or <br />questions received through any of the above methods in a timely manner. <br />EQUIPMENT <br />The remainder of this Military Equipment Use policy is divided into two sections. Section One lists <br />qualifying equipment that is owned and utilized by the Redwood City Police Department. <br />Section Two lists qualifying equipment that is not owned or regularly utilized by the Redwood City <br />Police Department, but which is known to be owned and/or utilized by the San Mateo County <br />Emergency Services Bureau and other San Mateo County public safety agencies and which may <br />be periodically used by Redwood City police personnel in limited and extreme or exigent <br />circumstances. Such circumstances may include the execution of high-risk search and arrest <br />warrants, armed barricaded subjects, hostage situations and active shooter incidents. <br />8.G. - Page 9 of 44 <br />377
