Mattman was a company that <br />specialized in making custom police response/command vehicles post the 9/11 attacks. This <br />company has since gone out of business. <br />Purpose/Authorized Uses: The MCV is used anytime a SRT operation occur. <br />Fiscal Impacts: This unit was purchased in approximately 2002/2003. The original cost is <br />unknown. Ongoing costs to maintain the MCV and replace failing equipment is approximately <br />$2,700/year. Being nearly 20 years old this vehicle is in need of significant updating or <br />replacement in the coming years. <br />Legal/Procedural Rules Governing Use: In accordance with all State and Local laws <br />related to the operation of vehicles. Redwood City Policies related to vehicle operations. <br />Training Required: The vehicle requires a Class C Driver License <br />Other Notes: The MCV is not a tactical vehicle. It is not armored in any way and has no <br />offensive capabilities.
