City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
*Contract administration fees estimated at $117,252 are budgeted from FEMA funding for contract
management ($31,699) and the City’s cost share allocated within the Capital Outlay Fund (Fund 357)
(approximately $85,553).
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA
Guidelines, Section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72
hours prior to the meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
The City Council may choose not to approve the recommended action. Two alternatives are identified
below:
Alternative 1: Direct staff to modify elements of the agreement and renegotiate with the consultant. This
alternative would delay the project schedule by delaying the start of the project. Moreover, this might
jeopardize FEMA grant funding as the City would not be able to meet required grant deliverable timelines.
Alternative 2: Not execute the agreement with Wood Rodgers, Inc. and re-issue the RFSOQ/SRS. This
alternative would delay the project schedule by delaying the start of the project. Moreover, this might
jeopardize FEMA grant funding as the City would not be able to meet required grant deliverable timelines.
ATTACHMENTS
Attachment A – Agreement for Services with Wood Rodgers, Inc.
REPORT PREPARED BY:
Andrea Coto, Assistant Engineer II
acoto@redwoodcity.org
(650) 847-9469
7.A. - Page 5 of 83
11
