Page 1 of 6 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: November 24, 2025 <br />SUBJECT <br />Award contract to Wood Rodgers, Inc. for the Redwood Creek Watershed and Wetland Capacity Project <br />Scoping <br />SUMMARY <br />The City was awarded FEMA grant funding to evaluate the existing flow capacity of Redwood Creek and <br />identify a priority project that improves flow conditions within the creek. The proposed Redwood Creek <br />Watershed and Wetland Capacity Project Scoping will assess current hydraulic performance, develop and <br />screen potential improvement alternatives, and advance the recommended project through preliminary <br />design. This work aligns with the goals from the recent Stormwater Roadmap report that outlines the <br />importance of proactively assessing and understanding the City’s current stormwater system needs. The <br />deliverables of this work will update and expand knowledge on current creek capacity and will serve as <br />existing data during the stormwater planning efforts. <br />Staff recommend awarding this professional services agreement to Wood Rodgers, Inc. for this work <br />based on their in-depth knowledge and experience with Redwood Creek, in addition to other <br />considerations. The project is funded through a combination of FEMA grant funds and City contributions. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement for Services with Wood <br />Rodgers, Inc. in the amount of $1,172,516, and further authorize the City Manager or designee to increase <br />the agreement amount, if necessary, up to 10 percent, for a not-to-exceed total amount of $1,289,768. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Public Safety <br />7.A. - Page 1 of 83 <br />7
