Exhibit A <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Location:1120 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, CA 94061 <br />General Description: The City of Redwood City (City) Public Works Services (PWS) Department requires <br />gym floor re-striping services. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision <br />necessary to complete gym floor re-striping services in accordance with industry standards, safety <br />regulations, and manufacturer specifications. All work shall be performed to ensure a durable, professional, <br />and visually consistent finish as outlined in Appendix A. <br />Project Schedule: <br />The Project must be fully completed between the dates of December 22, 2025, and January 4, 2026. This <br />project timeline is non-negotiable. Work on City observed holidays shall only be performed with City’s prior <br />approval in writing. <br />Description of Lump Sum (LS) Item: <br />Surface Preparation <br />•Inspect the existing gym floor surface prior to work. <br />•Clean and prepare the floor to remove dirt, dust, grease, and any debris. <br />•Remove existing vent cove base. <br />•Sand the entire floor surface in Project Area to bare wood. <br />•After sanding, apply two (2) coats of water-based polyurethane sealer to seal and protect <br />the raw wood surface. Allow adequate drying between coats per manufacturer <br />recommendations. <br />•Protect adjacent surfaces, walls, and equipment from dust, overspray, or paint spills. <br />Layout & Design <br />•Striping layout shall be applied as indicated in project drawings. A digital striping <br />plan/layout drawing and color selection submittal shall be submitted by Contractor to City <br />for approval prior to work being performed. <br />•Provide clear marking for the following courts and markings to be consistent with As-Built <br />Layout: <br />o Basketball court (main and auxiliary if applicable). <br />o Volleyball court(s). <br />o Badminton court(s). <br />o Pickleball court(s). <br />o Any additional specialty markings (logos, lettering, custom graphics). <br />o The City of Redwood City logo with surrounding lettering shall be painted at the <br />specified location and scaled per City-approved artwork. The City will provide the <br />necessary vector files and work with Contractor to identify and approve appropriate <br />colors. <br />Striping Application <br />•Use high-quality, gym floor–approved paint specifically designed for wood/urethane <br />surfaces. <br />•Apply paint in multiple coats as necessary. <br />•Ensure crisp, straight, and consistent lines with no bleeding. <br />•Allow sufficient drying/curing time between coats and prior to application of protective <br />finish.
