38 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Figure 38: Multi-Bicycle Locker <br /> <br />Other Suggested Amenities <br /> <br />Bicycle Parking on Curb Extension <br />Curb extensions can be used to accommodate multiple bicycle racks and keep the pedestrian <br />travel path clear of parked bicycles. <br /> <br />Bicycle Parking Shelter <br />Covered bicycle parking can provide weather protection and enhanced lighting and protection for <br />short-term bicycle parking facilities. Additionally, shelters can generate revenue with <br />advertisements. Such facilities will require ample sidewalk space or an adequate open space on <br />the sidewalk or a city plaza. Typically, shelters are 9’ wide with 2’ spacing from the curb and a <br />minimum of 6’ of pedestrian clearance.
