DRAFT <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Transportation Advisory Committee <br />Priority List <br /> <br />The Transportation Advisory Committee has identified the following priorities to focus on during 2025-2027: <br /> <br />1. Vision Zero <br />− Significantly decrease car-car, car-bike, and car-pedestrian collisions, injuries, and fatalities <br />2. <br />Development Projects <br />− Future tenants and area residents benefit from a better multi-modal environment in the area surrounding large new <br />developments <br />− Better leverage private development projects to advance RWC's transportation goals <br />3. Planning Projects <br />− Transportation priorities incorporated into major planning projects <br />4. <br />Codes and Ordinances/ Citywide policy <br />− Align City codes with new state or regional requirements re: parking minimums/maximums to access future funding opportunities <br />− RWC Code better reflects the balance of parking, transit, biking, and walking needs of all community members <br />− Ensure transportation budget/projects are prioritized using more holistic metrics and find more equitable process to evaluate the <br />traffic calming requests <br />− Codes/policies updated to support VZ goals <br />5. Regional Projects <br />− Regional partners are aware of RWC's transportation goals/needs in their own planning and implementation processes <br />6. Community Outreach <br />− RWC residents are aware of RWC transportation initiatives and regional projects, so they can provide feedback <br /> <br />8.A. - Page 14 of 14 <br />241
