REV: 11-19-25 LR
o Consultant to develop a monitoring plan that uses flow gages at up to two
(2) locations at Redwood Creek, including one upstream of the Bradford
Pump Station. The Consultant will present and review the monitoring plan
with the City’s Project Manager and City Staff and will install, maintain,
and monitor two rental gaging stations for at least one continuous wet
season to provide calibration data for the concurrent drainage system model
builds. The sites will be chosen in close coordination with City staff. The
stations at the site would be equipped with level monitors that, coupled with
full flow rating curves, will be used to estimate discharge hydrographs for
selected events. The rating curves will use the depth data and hydraulically
developed rating curves to establish the hydrographs. Data processing can
readily be expanded to include ongoing gaging installations in the Redwood
Creek watershed, thus providing a comprehensive data set. The
hydrographs will allow for calibration/validation of the models.
o For calibration purposes, Consultant will also collect precipitation data for
the same season at up to two (2) locations from existing available
precipitation gage stations. The selection of this precipitation data will be
conducted with input from the City’s Project Manager and City Staff.
Deliverables: Monitoring plan with proposed locations, type, and duration of gaging
for up to two (2) stream flow gages (PDF),
Task 5. Hydrologic and Hydraulic Model Development, up to $86,423 Time and
Materials (T&M)
This task provides services to develop a Hydrologic and Hydraulic Model. As part of
this task, the Consultant and team will use and build upon previous efforts to develop
a more detailed and comprehensive model. Previous efforts include: the 2017
Eastern Low-Lying Area (ELLA) Drainage Master Plan InfoWorks ICM model
developed by Wood Rodgers Inc., and the two-dimensional InfoWorks ICM model of
Redwood Creek and its tributaries, from Alameda delas Pulgas to the Bay (the “Creek
Model”). Services under this task will include:
a.Task 5.a Model:
a.Task 5.a.1 Review Existing Model: Consultant and team to review the two
existing ICM models (ELLA Model and the Creek Model). The ELLA Model
includes both one-dimensional modeling of the interior drainage and open
channels mostly below El Camino Real, and two-dimensional modeling of
the topography outside of the Creel. The Creek Model includes two-
dimensional modeling of both the open channels and the topography
outside of the Creek.
b.Consultant will study, review, analyze, quantify, and qualify the differences
of both models with a focus on their use for this project and outline how both
models will be used in the project. Consultant to submit findings on writing
to the City’s project manager.
ATTY/AGR.2025.317/Wood Rodgers, Inc. (Page 17 of 77)
