ATTY/ORD.0014/CC ORD ENGINEERING AND TRANSPORTATION CODE UPDATES – EXHIBIT C <br />REV: 11-18-25 LR <br />Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br />EXHIBIT C – AMENDING CHAPTER 30 - SUBDIVISIONS <br /> <br />Sec. 30.31. PARCEL MAP AND FINAL MAP REVIEW AND APPROVAL: <br />A. Review: The City Engineer shall review the final map or parcel map for <br />conformance with the approved tentative map or tentative parcel map, conditions <br />of approval, and all applicable requirements of this Chapter and the Subdivision <br />Map Act. The City Engineer shall accept the map and notify the City Council <br />pursuant to subsection C below within twenty (20) days of receiving the corrected <br />map, all required certificates and submittals, and any required fees. <br />B. Dedications and Improvement and Maintenance Agreements: Dedications and <br />improvement and maintenance agreements associated with a final map or parcel <br />mapland development may be accepted and approved by the City Engineer. <br />C. Summary Vacation of Easements: The summary vacation of easements consistent <br />with streets and highways code Chapter 4, Article 1, starting at Section 8330, may <br />be accepted and approved by the City Engineer. <br />D. City Council Notification: The City Engineer shall notify the City Council at itsthe <br />next available regular meeting after the City Engineer’s receives and reviews thea <br />final map or parcel map that the City Engineer has reviewing the map for final <br />approvaland determines that the map is technically correct. The City Council <br />agenda shall include notice of the City Engineer's pending approval or disapproval, <br />which notice shall also be mailed to interested parties requesting notice. <br />E. Approval or Disapproval: The City Engineer shall approve or disapprove the final <br />map within ten (10) days following the City Council meeting where notice was given <br />pursuant to subsection above. <br />F. Periodic Review: The City Council shall periodically review the delegation of <br />authority for final map and parcel map approval granted to the City Engineer. <br />G. Recordation: Except as provided by Government Code Section 66493, after the <br />City approves a final map or parcel map, the City Engineer shall transmit the map <br />to the County Recorder. The final map or parcel map becomes valid and goes into <br />effect after it is filed by the County Recorder. <br />
