Per the grant guidelines, a 11.47 percent local match is required. The project alignment is within <br />both City of Redwood City and County of San Mateo jurisdictions. Staff from both agencies developed this <br />MOU to align roles and responsibility of each agency throughout the project’s design and construction <br />phases. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with <br />County of San Mateo to share the local match funds plus 10% contingency equally and implement the <br />design and construction phases of the Bay Road Complete Streets Rehabilitation Project with the City’s <br />share capped at $274,573 plus the shared contingency. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />In May 2022, the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) issued a call for <br />projects for the County and Local Programs under the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC)’s <br />One Bay Area Grant 3 (OBAG 3) Program.
