Page 1 of 4 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: December 22, 2025 <br />SUBJECT <br />Property purchase and temporary construction easements related to the State Route 84 (Woodside Road) <br />/ U.S. 101 Interchange Reimagined Project at 1485 Veterans Boulevard using grant funds <br />SUMMARY <br />The State Route 84 (Woodside Road) / U.S. 101 Interchange Reimagined Project (“Project”) requires <br />acquisition, both fee interest (property purchase) and temporary construction easements, of certain lands <br />from a number of properties. Out of a total of 20 properties required, staff have executed three purchase <br />agreements. The current agreement for 1485 Veterans Boulevard will be the fourth property acquisition <br />completed. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution approving the Property Purchase Agreement between the City of Redwood City, as <br />Buyer, and Todd L. and Judy A. Freeman and Jeff A. and Loretta V. Kreager, as Sellers, for the purchase of <br />a fee parcel and a temporary construction easement over real property identified as Assessor's Parcel <br />Number 052-431-020 (1485 Veterans Boulevard) in the amount of $37,500, plus any escrow and recording <br />costs incurred in the transaction. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Transportation <br />8.C. - Page 1 of 40 <br />70
