This person shall <br />respond and take corrective action within 48 hours. Air Quality Construction Emission Reduction - The project applicant shall prepare an air <br />pollution control plan to reduce emissions from construction equipment showing that all <br />diesel-powered construction equipment larger than 25 horsepower used at the site for <br />more than two continuous days or 20 hours total shall meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 emission <br />standards for Particulate Matter (PM) (PM10 and PM2.5) or equivalent. Such an air <br />pollution control plan would be subject to review by an air quality expert and approved <br />by the City prior to construction. [COA][Planning] <br /> <br />90. Construction Noise Reduction Measures – The applicant shall implement the following <br />construction noise reduction measures: <br /> <br />a. Control noise from construction workers' radios to the point where they are not <br />audible at existing residences that border the project site. <br /> <br />b. Equip all internal combustion engine-driven equipment with mufflers that are in <br />good condition and appropriate for the equipment. <br /> <br />c. Utilize quiet models of air compressors and other stationary noise sources where <br />technology exists. <br /> <br />d. Locate stationary noise-generating equipment as far as possible from sensitive <br />receptors when sensitive receptors adjoin or are near a construction project area. <br />e. Prohibit unnecessary idling of internal combustion engines. <br /> <br />f. Notify residents adjacent to the project site of the construction schedule in <br />writing. [COA][Building] <br /> <br />91. Interior Noise – The project shall be designed to comply with interior residential noise <br />requirements in the California Building Code.
