2. The proposed summary vacation of the Levee Vacation Area Easement <br />remains categorically exempt under Sections 15301, 15302 and 15304 of the State CEQA <br />Guidelines, 14 CCR §§ 15000, et seq. <br />3. In accordance with California Streets and Highways Code Section 8333(c), <br />the City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby vacates the Levee Vacation Area <br />Easement. <br />4. From and after the date of recordation of this Resolution, the Levee <br />Vacation Area, as described in Exhibit A and depicted in Exhibit A-1 through Exhibit A-6, <br />will no longer be subject to the 1986 Levee Easements. <br />5. The City Manager or designee is authorized to execute the Quitclaim Deeds <br />attached hereto as Exhibit B and Exhibit C, wherein City relinquishes any and all interest <br />City may have in the Original Seaport Centre Levee Improvements that are located within <br />the Levee Vacation Area. The Levee Vacation Area is separated into Quitclaim Areas 1, <br />2A, 3, 4A, and 6A on the MetLife Property and Quitclaim Areas 2B, 413, 5, and 6B on the <br />HCP Property. The City Clerk is directed to cause the executed, acknowledged Quitclaim <br />Deeds to be recorded in the Official Records of San Mateo County following recordation <br />of the deeds conveying the New Levee Easements and the New Levee Improvements to <br />City. <br />6. Pursuant to California Streets and Highway Code Section 8336, the City <br />Clerk is directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution, attested by the City Clerk <br />under seal, to be recorded in the Official Records of San Mateo County following <br />recordation of the deeds conveying the New Levee Easements and the New Levee <br />Improvements to City. <br />ATTY/RESO.0081/CC RESO SEAPORT LEVEE EASEMENT VACATION <br />REV: 10-21-2S VR <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />
