This value was highest (86%) among <br />community members who’ve lived in Redwood City for less than 5 years, than those who’ve lived in <br />Redwood City for 6-10 years (62%). <br />●Residents feel strongly that Redwood City offers opportunities to participate in social events and <br />activities, up 8 points from 62% in 2024. <br />●More community members campaigned or advocated for a local issue, cause, or candidate, up 11 <br />points from 8% in 2024. Community members who’ve lived in Redwood City for 6-10 years (40%) were <br />more likely to participate than those who’ve lived in Redwood City for 11 or more years (15%). <br />Public Safety remains strong, with areas to build upon. <br />●Nearly 9 out of 10 residents say they feel very safe in their neighborhood during the day, similar to <br />2024 survey results. <br />●Confidence in emergency response remains strong with the majority of residents (83%) reporting they <br />feel comfortable contacting the Police Department in an emergency. <br />●About half of residents (49%) rated Redwood City’s crime prevention services positively. <br />●Safety ratings for Redwood City improved slightly (up 1 point) from 2024, but remained below the <br />national average. <br />●Residents were less satisfied (64%) with the City’s fire prevention and education, which was down 11 <br />points from 2024. <br />Public infrastructure continues to be a key opportunity for improvement in Redwood City. <br />●Over half of residents were satisfied with street cleaning services, up 3 points from 2024, but still <br />lower than both similar cities and national benchmarks. <br />●There was a slight decrease in satisfaction, down by 2 points, with sidewalk maintenance. Ratings <br />were also lower than trends for national benchmarks and similar cities. <br />●7 out of 10 residents rated positively Redwood City’s sewer services down from 78% in 2024. <br />11.A. - Page 4 of 43 <br />138
