Community meetings were supported by Spanish speaking staff. Staff conducted outreach <br />to community groups, including school students and parents, to incorporate their transportation and <br />safety needs. <br />Also, since the project will use federal funding, the project construction phase requires allocating 14 <br />percent of the work to Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) contractors. <br />Figure 2: Project Location in Relationship with Equity Priority Communities <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The technical studies, outreach, and planning level alternative design were funded by the Capital Outlay <br />Fund and Traffic Mitigation Fees Fund. <br />Per the recommended remaining project scope, the cost for 100 percent engineering design, construction, <br />and construction management is approximately $8 million.
