The parties will reopen as to eligibility for these
benefits for the new term-funded positions in 2028 successor MOU negotiations. In lieu of cash out of
administrative holidays, employees in the identified positions, upon becoming term-funded, will be
permitted to carry over their unused administrative holidays each year. If the terms of this agreement
conflict with the terms of an applicable grant, the terms of the grant will take precedence.
Effective the first full pay period that is six weeks after City Council approval of this agreement, the Tree
Maintenance Worker contract employee position will be changed to a regular Full Time Equivalent (FTE)
position. In recognition of 10 years of City service of the current incumbent in the Tree Maintenance
Worker contract employee position, the current incumbent will be placed in the regular position on a one-
time basis, subject to confirmation that he meets minimum job qualifications and successfully completes
the City’s requisite pre-employment processes, and subject to a one-year probationary period upon
change in status.
SEIU MOU CHANGES
The Tentative Agreement for the MOU Addendum modifies the following sections of the City’s MOU with
SEIU.
