The Mills Act Contract will ensure <br />the maintenance, restoration, enhancement, and protection of the environment (which <br />includes historical resources), and because the maintenance and preservation work to be <br />carried out is required to be consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for <br />the Treatment of Historic Properties. <br /> <br />Motion and second, Sturken and Chu to: <br />1. Adopt a resolution designating the residence at 731 Edgewood Road a Redwood City <br />Historic Landmark and authorizing the City Manager to execute a Historic Preservation <br />Agreement (Mills Act Contract); <br />2. Adopt a resolution designating the residence at 839 Blandford Boulevard a Redwood <br />City Historic Landmark and authorizing the City Manager to execute a Historic <br />Preservation Agreement (Mills Act Contract); <br />3.Adopt a resolution of the City Council approving and authorizing the City Manager to <br />execute a Historic Preservation Agreement (Mills Act Contract) for 1018-1020 Main <br />Street; and <br />4. Adopt a resolution designating the residence at 979 Arlington Road a Redwood City <br />Historic Landmark and authorizing the City Manager to execute a Historic Preservation <br />Agreement (Mills Act Contract). <br /> <br />In addition, direct staff to explore issuance of non-renewal notices for all existing <br />contracts. <br /> <br />A vote was not taken on this motion. <br /> <br />A second motion was made by Howard, and seconded by Eakin to: <br />1.
