By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the standard <br />Agreement for Services with BKF Engineers for design of the Redwood City Corporation <br />Yard Reconfiguration Project in the amount of $561,525; and <br />2. By motion, authorize the City Manager or designee to increase the agreement amount, <br />if necessary, up to 10 percent of the award amount, for a total amount not to exceed <br />$617,678. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br /> 8.I. Agreement for Services with Signet Testing Laboratories, Inc. for inspection and testing <br />services on the Hoover Park Renovation Project to ensure conformance with plans, <br />specifications, and permit requirements (304) <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the <br />Agreement for Services with Signet Testing Laboratories, Inc. for construction inspection <br />and special inspection services for the Hoover Park Renovation Project in the amount of <br />$319,820, and authorize the City Manager or designee to increase the contract amount, <br />if necessary, by up to 10 percent above the contract amount, for a total amount not to <br />exceed $351,802. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />The Hoover Park renovation project as a whole meets the CEQA exemption criteria as set <br />forth in CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Class 1. Existing Facilities) in that it consists of <br />the repair, maintenance, and/or minor alteration of existing public or private structures <br />or facilities, involving negligible or no expansion of the use beyond that existing. This <br />activity, awarding a professional service contract for inspection and testing services, is <br />not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or <br />reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br /> <br /> 8.J. Agreement for Services with California Public Policy Group, Inc. (CPPG) to provide State <br />Legislative Advocacy and Grant Writing Services to the City (304) <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a three-year services <br />agreement with California Public Policy Group, Inc. (CPPG), in an amount not to exceed <br />$321,000, including City Manager authority to extend the agreement for two additional, <br />consecutive one-year terms, for an aggregate not- to-exceed amount of $535,000. <br />
