Award contract to Kimley-Horn to complete the outreach and design phase for Bay <br />Road Complete Street Rehabilitation Project (304) <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement for <br />Services with Kimley-Horn to develop Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) and <br />assist with neighborhood outreach for the Bay Road Complete Street Rehabilitation <br />Project in the amount of $539,422, and authorize the City Manager or designee to <br />increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10 percent above the contract amount. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />This action is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />because entering into this agreement has no potential for resulting in either a direct or <br />reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. Future construction <br />of the project will be categorically exempt from the requirements of CEQA pursuant to <br />CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c), Class 1 (“Existing Facilities”) for the repair and <br />maintenance of existing highways and streets with negligible or no expansion of an <br />existing use. <br /> <br />As required for federally funded projects, this project is subject to the National <br />Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). NEPA documents will be prepared and submitted to <br />Caltrans at the 65 percent design stage. The contract scope includes technical assistance <br />for NEPA processing. <br /> <br /> 8.G. Award contract to ACCO Engineered Systems, Inc. for the Municipal Service Center <br />HVAC Replacement Project (304) <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract documents <br />and award the standard form contract for the Municipal Service Center HVAC <br />Replacement Project to ACCO Engineered Systems, Inc. of Pasadena, CA for their <br />responsive and responsible low total bid of $985,121, and authorize the City Manager or <br />their designee to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 15% of the amount <br />awarded in an amount not to exceed $147,769 for a total amount of $1,132,890. <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />Categorically Exempt - Class 2. Replacement or reconstruction <br /> <br /> 8.H. Agreement for Services with BKF Engineers in the amount of $561,525 for design of the <br />Redwood City Corporation Yard Reconfiguration Project using transportation grant <br />funds (304)
