From:R.A. Ratcliff
To:GRP-City Council; Council-Elmer MartinezSaballos
Subject:[Alert. Email sent from outside the United States.] Jefferson Avenue Traffic Safety project
Date:Monday, January 26, 2026 8:09:16 AM
Dear Mayor Martinez Saballos and Council Members,
Alternative B of the Jefferson Avenue Traffic Safety project will provide a huge improvement
for the city, so I urge you to support this redesign.
Center turning lanes on large streets (such as parts of Alameda, Farm Hill Boulevard, etc)
have made driving smoother and safer for me. These lanes protect people in cars waiting to
turn into driveways or left on to side streets.
When Jefferson has this redesign, everyone will be safer -- drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
This design reduces conflict points and makes crossings by pedestrians safer.
Thank you for this vital project.
Rebecca Ratcliff
