Program H6-2: Fair Housing Servicesa) Continue to support fair housing services for Redwood City residents and provide information on housing discrimination and the resources available to victims of discrimination, in both English and Spanish, at City Hall, the public library, and on the City’s website. Publish fair housing information, including any community meetings, on non-traditional media such as social media platforms, and conduct targeted outreach to tenants, mobile home park residents, and other lower income populations.12/31/20316th CycleContinuousa) City staff regularly posts information on Project Sentinel's fair housing services on the City's social media and ensures most up-to-date information is available at the Redwood City Public Library, Fair Oaks Community Center, and other community hubs. The City continues to fund Project Sentinel (through CDBG) to provide free fair housing services to Redwood City tenants and landlords. In FY 24-25, Project conducted 25 intakes and referrals which resulted in 12 fair housing cases being opened. During FY24-25, Project Sentinel also conducted 6 fair housing audits to test for disability and source of income discrimination and held 2 fair housing events for Redwood City residents. The Project Sentinel Tenant and Landlord Counseling Services Project also provides outreach, education mediation, and dispute resolution services to tenants and landlords for a variety of rental situations and issues.
