Funding for the construction contract and authorized <br />contingency were appropriated as part of the FY 2024-25 Adopted Budget in the Sewer Capacity Fund <br />(Fund 692) – Sewer Discharge Line to Maple Street Pump Station (Program 85138). <br />The original construction contract was $1,897,000. Two approved change orders totaled $324,238, <br />approximately 17 percent of the original contract amount and within the authorized project contingency <br />of 18 percent, or $341,460. The total construction contract cost, including the two approved change <br />orders, is $2,221,238. <br />Table 1: Project Cost Summary <br />Original Construction Contract $1,897,000 <br />Change Order No. 1 $36,368 <br />Change Order No. 2 $287,869 <br />Total Construction Cost $2,221,238 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) provides a statutory exemption from environmental <br />review for the installation of new pipeline less than one mile in length within a public street or highway <br />or any other public right-of-way pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21080.21 and CEQA Guidelines <br />Section 15282(k). The proposed project is statutorily exempt from CEQA pursuant to Public Resources <br />Code Section 21010.21 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15282(k), Pipeline Projects Less Than One Mile in <br />Length, as this pipe extension of approximately 126-feet in length will be constructed within a public <br />street/public right-of-way and not exceed one mile in length. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />7.B. - Page 3 of 4 <br />73
