Project Budget (Percent of Total Value: 10%) <br />Within this section, address the criteria that defines the Project Budget rating factor (see <br />table below) in a cohesive, comprehensive, and concise narrative format. <br /> <br />NOTE: The Project Budget document is a separate Excel attachment that when <br />completed will be uploaded into the BSCC Submittable Application Portal. <br /> <br />Project Budget (Attachment): The applicant provided a complete Project Budget <br />Attachment for the project. The elements against which the Budget Attachment will be <br />rated are listed below. Addressing each element does not in itself merit a high rating; <br />although each element is to be addressed (when applicable), it is the quality of the <br />response to each that will be evaluated. The response will be evaluated with a single <br />rating based on a scale of 0-5. <br />5.1 <br />Please provide complete and detailed budget information in each section of the <br />Prop 64 Grant Project Budget Attachment (see instructions below) that includes: <br />• Line-item detail sufficient to describe each requested budget item. <br />• A brief explanation (narrative) justifying each budget line item. <br />5.2 <br />For each section, ensure expenses are appropriate for the grant’s intent, the <br />project’s goals, and planned activities within the selected Project Purpose <br />Area(s), as applicable. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Project Budget Instructions <br />As part of the application process, applicants are required to complete and upload a <br />Project Budget (“Prop 64 Cohort 4 Budget Attachment”) in the identified field on the BSCC <br />Submittable Application Portal. The Prop 64 Cohort 4 Budget Attachment (an Excel <br />workbook) is provided on the BSCC Prop 64 Grant homepage. A sample is provided in <br />Appendix I. <br /> <br />• Detailed instructions for completing the Budget Attachment are listed in the <br />Instructions tab of the Excel workbook. <br /> <br />• DO NOT USE AN ALTERED VERSION OF THE BSCC BUDGET TEMPLATE. <br />Applicants that do not use the BSCC Budget Template will be disqualified. <br /> <br />Applicants are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information <br />entered in the Budget Attachment. All project costs must be directly related to the <br />objectives and activities in the project. <br />Do not submit an annual budget; the grant funds requested in the Budget <br />Attachment must cover the entire 5-year grant service period as well as the 6-month <br />evaluation and audit period. <br />7.C. - Page 43 of 101 <br />102
