Page 3 of 7 <br />7.C.Request for authorization to seek Proposition 64 - Public Health and Safety <br />Grant funding for the grant term of July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2031 <br />Recommendation: <br />Retroactively approve the City's application for the Proposition 64 Public Health <br />and Safety Grant awarded by the Board of State and Community Corrections <br />(BSCC) to the Redwood City Police Department in the amount of up to $4,500,000 <br />for the grant term of July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2031 and authorize the City <br />Manager or designee to execute all documents necessary to accept and <br />administer the grant if awarded. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />7.D.Grants from the Grove Foundation, Sand Hill Foundation, and Sunlight Giving <br />will provide a total of $495,000 over Fiscal Years 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027- <br />28 to support the Information and Referral Program and other community <br />programs at the Fair Oaks Community Center <br />Recommendation: <br />1. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the <br />agreement between The Grove Foundation and City of Redwood City accepting a <br />grant of $180,000 beginning in FY2025-26 to support the I&R Program and <br />community programs at FOCC; <br />2. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the <br />agreement between Sand Hill Foundation and City of Redwood City accepting a <br />total grant of $75,000 to support the I&R Program and community programs at <br />FOCC during FY2025-26 and FY2026-27; and <br />3. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the <br />agreement between Sunlight Giving and City of Redwood City for a total grant <br />commitment of $240,000 over three years (FY 2025-26, FY 2026-27, FY 2027-28) <br />in the amount of $75,000 for FY2025-26, $80,000 for FY2026-27, and $85,000 in <br />FY2027-28 to support the I&R Program and community programs at FOCC. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />7.E.Purchase of two Type 1 Fire Engines to replace end-of-life equipment <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Purchase <br />Agreement with Hi-Tech Emergency Vehicle Service, Inc. of Oakdale, CA for the <br />supply of two Type 1 Fire Engines in an amount not to exceed $2,900,000. <br />3
