The City Council could choose not to renew the proposed ordinance or direct Department staff to <br />present additional information before approving the ordinance. If the ordinance is not adopted within <br />180 days of the April 13, 2026, submission of the policy to Council, the Redwood City Police <br />Department must cease use of all defined military equipment until it receives authorization as <br />required under Government Code section 7071(a)(1)(G)(2). <br />2.
