The City <br />Engineer has determined that the improvements meet City standards, approved permit requirements, <br />and are in acceptable condition for final acceptance and close-out. Upon City Council approval of final <br />acceptance, the City will release the project’s final payment and performance bonds for FieldTurf USA, <br />Inc., and file a Notice of Completion. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, accept the Mitchell & Fair Oaks Field Synthetic Turf Replacement Project and authorize the <br />release of bonds and retention according to City procedures. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Healthy Community for All <br />BACKGROUND <br />Redwood City provides a wide range of sports and fitness opportunities for lifelong enjoyment of both <br />directed and self-directed physical activity. Sports programs for all ages and abilities are hosted at 10 <br />separate sports fields across the City. The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department (PRCS) <br />maintains and improves these fields for the benefit of the community. To meet these needs and maintain <br />functional and safe playing surfaces, PRCS has an ongoing program to replace and improve turf fields. <br />7.A. - Page 1 of 4 <br />8
