Following the draft Lagoon Management Plan: Redwood <br />Shores Lagoon, July 2003 <br />(http://www.redwoodcity.org/home/showdocument?id=1802) and any updates to the <br />Lagoon Management Plan thereof, identify needs, set schedules, notify and advise <br />City of recommended algaecide and herbicide treatments as well as provide <br />notification prior to treatments. Copper based algaecides are prohibited from being <br />used in the Redwood Shores Lagoon. Provide state licensed staff, equipment and <br />chemicals to carry out applications safely and pursuant to County, State and Federal <br />laws and be able to specify name(s) of the registered applicator(s) that will perform <br />chemical application activities. Applicators must possess a Qualified Applicator <br />License or Qualified Applicator Certificate. <br />g. [Optional] Bathymetry/Mapping Services. Consultant will provide bathymetry or <br />mapping services as requested by Public Works Superintendent- Wastewater. <br />h. Equipment. A minimum of two (2) aquatic harvesters are required to be available for <br />the duration of the project to assist in aquatic weed and algae removal. <br />i. Lagoon Management Plan. Consultant must review current and future updates to the <br />Lagoon Management Plan and adapt practices to ensure maintenance operations are <br />in compliance at all times. <br />j. Communication Protocols. City requires Consultant to demonstrate a high level of <br />accountability and communication throughout the term of the Agreement. Consultant <br />will notify the Wastewater Utilities Field Supervisor each day prior to work being <br />conducted on the Redwood Shores Lagoon. Notifications will be made to City staff if <br />there is an expected deviation from the Weekly Work Plan. <br />k. Coordination. Consultant must communicate and coordinate its chemical treatment <br />schedule with City’s independent water quality monitoring sampling consultant (and <br />City’s Utilities Specialist) by providing advance notice of a minimum 48-hours prior to <br />any chemical treatments to allow for pre-treatment sampling and 24-hour notice <br />following treatments for post-treatment water sampling in compliance with the City’s <br />Water Quality Monitoring Plan. <br />Normal Working Hours <br />Consultant 's work hours will be limited to the hours between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., <br />Monday through Friday. No work will be conducted on City observed holidays.
