Training requirements will be set by the SRT Commander or designee. <br />The training will include knowledge of the rules of the road and knowledge of <br />electronic/mechanical mechanisms on the vehicle, as well as tactical considerations. <br />Personnel who have been trained in the use of the Armored Rescue Vehicle and possess a <br />valid California Driver's License are authorized to drive the vehicle. The vehicle shall only be <br />driven in the performance of their duties. The SRT Commander or his/her designee is <br />responsible for ensuring officers are trained in the proper use and driving techniques and <br />ensuring the vehicle is properly serviced and maintained. <br />Other Notes: This vehicle has no offensive capabilities and is solely used to provide <br />increased safety to personnel and the public. <br />REV: 04-07-26 VR
