In the letter, the City explained that the Project no longer requires the acquisition of the <br />full fee interest in the property you own and occupy at ______ in ___, California (Property). <br />On ____, the City sent ____ a Notice of Eligibility to Receive Relocation Assistance related to the <br />Project. Negotiations for the purchase of the Property have been suspended. The City has rescinded <br />its offer to purchase the Property. As a result, the City is withdrawing the Notice of Eligibility for <br />Relocation Assistance. This letter serves as notice that ____ is no longer eligible to receive <br />Relocation Assistance under the City’s Relocation Assistance Program. <br />If you have any questions about the City’s withdrawal of Relocation Assistance under the City’s <br />Relocation Assistance Program, please contact ___ at ___, by call/sms at ____ or by emailing _____. <br />Right to Appeal. The Uniform Act provides that a person may file a written appeal to the City if the <br />person believes that the City has failed to properly determine the person’s eligibility for, or the <br />amount of a payment authorized, by the Uniform Act. If an individual is dissatisfied, the person <br />(Appellant) may submit a letter to the City within 90 days of the claim being rejected, stating all of the <br />relevant facts and the reasons the person believes the claim should be paid or adjusted. The City will <br />consider a written appeal regardless of form. <br />The City will permit the Appellant to inspect and copy all materials pertinent to the appeal, except for <br />materials that have been classified as confidential. In deciding the appeal, the City will consider all <br />pertinent justification and other material submitted by the Appellant. The City will then make written <br />determination of the appeal, including an explanation of the basis on which the decision was made, <br />and furnish the Appellant a copy.
