The primary goal of Safe House services is <br />to help survivors with crisis intervention, attain safety and <br />self-sufficiency, and heal from trauma and abuse. CORA uses <br />a trauma-informed and survivor-defined model of service, an <br />approach that provides a proven framework for assisting <br />survivors in strengthening their personal safety, and <br />emotional and psychological well-being so they can rebuild <br />their lives. Advocates provide survivors the support and <br />opportunities they need to set and attain their goals. <br />5 Project Name Mental Health Association - Spring Street Shelter <br />Target Area CityWide <br />Goals Supported Homeless Services <br />Needs Addressed Supporting Persons Experiencing Homelessness <br />Funding CDBG: $17,250 <br />Description Spring Street Shelter provides emergency shelter for <br />individuals with serious disabling mental illness. This project <br />is eligible under 24 CFR 570.201 (e) the CDBG regulations. <br />The project has been awarded $17,250. <br />Target Date 6/30/2027 <br />Estimate the <br />number and type of <br />families that will <br />benefit from the <br />proposed activities <br />The project will serve 40 individuals. <br />Location <br />Description <br />2686 Spring Street, Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />Planned Activities Spring Street Shelter provides emergency shelter for <br />individuals with serious disabling mental illness. The program <br />was developed to meet the needs of the community and this <br />population specifically. The shelter provides a safe setting for <br />people who have been on the streets or stayed in other <br />shelters.
