The recommendations for Program Year (PY) 2026 (July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027) constitute <br />the Action Plan for the fourth year of the City's Consolidated Plan for 2023-2027. <br />The City intends to submit its PY 2026 Action Plan to HUD which provides a detailed description of activities proposed <br />for funding that target federal resources to affordable housing, fair housing services, comprehensive services that help <br />to reduce poverty and homelessness, economic development assistance for micro-enterprises, and public and <br />community facilities and infrastructure improvements. <br />The City will receive $643,540 in CDBG plus an estimated $15,000 in CDBG program income, and $119,099 in unspent <br />prior year CDBG funds. The Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) held a public hearing on March 24, <br />2026, to make funding recommendations for PY 2026 and approve a funding contingency plan since HUD had not yet <br />announced funding allocations at the time of the meeting. <br />The Action Plan is available for public review on the City’s here or a hard copy may be requested by calling 650-780- <br />7229 or TDD 650-780-0129 or emailing housingrwc@redwoodcity.org. The public review period is from April 10, 2026 <br />– May 11, 2026. Public comments on the Action Plan should be submitted in writing to the City of Redwood City at <br />1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California 94063, Attention: Housing Division or emailed to <br />housingrwc@redwoodcity.org. <br />The City Council will hold a Public Hearing at its regular meeting on May 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., or as soon after as <br />the matter may be heard, to either approve or revise the Action Plan.
