6 <br />PRIORITY # 6: GENERAL ADMINISTRATION, INCLUDING SERVING AS A CHAMPION OF FAIR <br />HOUSING AND IMPROVING COORDINATION <br />Priority Need General Administration, including serving as a Champion of Fair Housing and <br />Improving Coordination <br />Priority Level High <br />Population Extremely Low <br />Low <br />Moderate <br />Geographic Areas Citywide and low-income census tracts <br />Associated Goals Administration and Coordination <br />Fair Housing Services <br />Description Redwood City supports and promotes a diverse community of unique neighborhoods <br />where all residents are included and valued, no group is privileged above any other <br />group, and all have opportunity to live in neighborhoods of their choosing. The City, <br />as part of administering the CDBG and HOME programs, will coordinate private/public <br />partnerships to move towards the goals of this Consolidated Plan. <br />Basis for Priority The City of Redwood City is incorporating the goals from the Housing Element as part <br />of this priority. <br />PLANNING & ADMINISTRATION <br />Planning and Program Administration: City of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road. These funds are used for <br />CDBG entitlement grant administration and planning activities including general management, oversight and <br />coordination; providing citizens with information about the CDBG program; preparing budgets and schedules; <br />preparing HUD required reports and documents; preparing community development plans (including the <br />Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plans); preparation and oversight of Environmental Reviews, and <br />compliance with other HUD requirements. $131,708 – CDBG <br />Fair Housing: Project Sentinel, 1615 Hudson Street, Suite A, Redwood City. The funds will be used to provide <br />fair housing assistance and tenant landlord services to Redwood City residents. $15,758 – CDBGTOTAL <br />PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION FUNDING RECOMMENDATION - $147,466 <br />8.B. - Page 121 of 123 <br />464
