ATTY/RESO.0037/CC RESO ADOPTING THE 2025 UWMP <br />REV: 06-16-26 LF <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />requirements of California Water Code Section 10642 and California Government Code <br />Section 6066. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and hereby <br />incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> <br />Section 2. Pursuant to Section 10652 of the California Water Code, the City <br />Council finds and determines that, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) does <br />not apply to the preparation, adoption and implementation of an Urban Water <br />Management Plan; additionally, it is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA <br />Guidelines Section 15307 because it is an action authorized by state or local ordinance <br />to assure the maintenance of a natural resource. <br /> <br />Section 3. The Redwood City 2025 Urban Water Management Plan, a copy of <br />which is on file in the offices of the Public Works Services Department and on the City's <br />website, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />adopted with modifications, if any, made by the Public Works Director, or designee, at <br />the direction of the City Council after the public hearing to address public input received <br />at the public hearing. <br /> <br />Section 4. The Public Works Services Director is hereby authorized and directed <br />to take administrative actions necessary to finalize, file, and make available the aforesaid <br />Plan with the California Department of Water Resources, the California State Library, and <br />the County of San Mateo and any city or county within which the City provides water <br />supplies, as applicable, within thirty (30) days of the adoption of this resolution and prior <br />to July 1, 2026, including by electronic submittal to the Department of Water Resources <br />in accordance with California Water Code Section 10644. <br /> <br />Section 5. The Public Works Services Department is hereby authorized and <br />directed to take any necessary actions to implement and administer the City’s 2025 <br />Urban Water Management Plan adopted hereby. <br /> <br />Section 6. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />* * *
