Conduct a public hearing; and <br />2. Waive the second reading and adopt an ordinance amending Redwood City <br />Municipal Code Chapter 15 (Smoking Regulations) to (1) repeal in their <br />entirety Article III (Tobacco Retail Permit) and Article V (Prohibiting the Sale <br />of Flavored Tobacco, Electronic Cigarettes, and the Sale of Tobacco Products <br />in Pharmacies), (2) adopt by reference Title 4, Chapter 4.98 of the San Mateo <br />County Ordinance Code in Article III, and (3) amend Article I, Section 15.2 <br />(Definitions). <br />The motion passed 4-2-1 by electronic vote, with Council Member Chu absent. <br /> <br /> 11.B. Collect sewer service charges on the tax roll for residential customers with <br />one dwelling unit per parcel (802) <br />Reso 16412 <br /> <br />Acting Superintendent of Wastewater Linda Chang gave a presentation. <br /> <br />Mayor Martínez Saballos opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />There was no public comment. <br />Mayor Martínez Saballos closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Hold a public hearing, and if protests are not made by a majority of the affected <br />parcels, adopt a resolution adopting the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Sewer Service <br />Charge Report and authorizing the collection of sewer service charges on the <br />tax roll for residential customers with one dwelling unit per parcel (requires 5/7 <br />vote). <br /> <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br /> <br />Motion and second, Howard and Gee, to hold a public hearing, and if protests <br />are not made by a majority of the affected parcels, adopt a resolution <br />adopting the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Sewer Service Charge Report and authorizing <br />the collection of sewer service charges on the tax roll for residential <br />customers with one dwelling unit per parcel, passed 6-0-1 by electronic vote, <br />with Council Member Chu absent. <br /> <br /> <br />
