Page 1 of 4 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: July 7, 2026 <br />SUBJECT <br />Adopt a resolution authorizing the display of the Disability Pride Flag annually in July in honor of <br />National Disability Pride Month <br />SUMMARY <br />Pursuant to the City’s Flag Policy, adoption of a resolution the City Council is required to display non- <br />governmental flags on City property as an expression of the City Council’s official sentiments. <br />National Disability Pride Month is an annual recognition identified by the City Councill’s Equity and Social <br />Justice Sub-Committee, and a community member has requested for the Disability Pride Flag to be <br />displayed as part of the recognition. <br />As this is a recognized annual recognition by the City, staff recommends an annual flag display of the <br />Disability Pride Flag moving forward. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution authorizing the display of the Disability Pride Flag annually in July in recognition of <br />Disability Pride Month. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Equity <br />7.A. - Page 1 of 7 <br />4
