ATTY/RESO.0046/CC RESO ADOPT AMENDMENTS TO ENGINEERING STANDARDS <br />REV: 07-09-26 MI <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16426 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING AND ADOPTING REVISIONS TO ENGINEERING <br />STANDARDS FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, under Section 29.1 of the Municipal Code, the City Council may <br />approve revisions to engineering standards, specifications, and regulations <br />recommended by the City Engineer; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 25, 2019, the City Council adopted Resolution No. <br />15802 approving those certain documents entitled, “Standard Technical Specifications”, <br />“City Standard Details”, and “Design Criteria”, collectively described as “Engineering <br />Standards for the City of Redwood City”; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 21, 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 16020 <br />revising the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 22, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 16201 <br />revising the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 8, 2025, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 16371 <br />revising the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends additional revisions to Part XII, <br />Attachment W – Bicycle Parking Design Guidelines, to the Engineering Standards for the <br />City of Redwood City for consistency with amendments to the Zoning Ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the revised Part XII, Attachment W – Bicycle Parking Design <br />Guidelines, to the Engineering Standards is attached as Exhibit A to this resolution, and <br />a complete digital edition of the three volumes is available for review at the City Clerk's <br />office; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed and considered the revisions to the <br />Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 23, 2026, a public notice of these revisions was circulated in <br />the San Mateo Daily Journal; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 13, 2026, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing, <br />in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Redwood City Municipal Code, to <br />consider revisions to the Engineering Standards shown in Exhibit A. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS:
