ATTY/RESO.0046/CC RESO ADOPT AMENDMENTS TO ENGINEERING STANDARDS REV: 07-09-26 MI Page 1 of 2 RESOLUTION NO. 16426 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AND ADOPTING REVISIONS TO ENGINEERING STANDARDS FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, under Section 29.1 of the Municipal Code, the City Council may approve revisions to engineering standards, specifications, and regulations recommended by the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, on November 25, 2019, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 15802 approving those certain documents entitled, “Standard Technical Specifications”, “City Standard Details”, and “Design Criteria”, collectively described as “Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City”; and WHEREAS, on January 21, 2022, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 16020 revising the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, on January 22, 2024, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 16201 revising the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, on December 8, 2025, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 16371 revising the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends additional revisions to Part XII, Attachment W – Bicycle Parking Design Guidelines, to the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City for consistency with amendments to the Zoning Ordinance; and WHEREAS, the revised Part XII, Attachment W – Bicycle Parking Design Guidelines, to the Engineering Standards is attached as Exhibit A to this resolution, and a complete digital edition of the three volumes is available for review at the City Clerk's office; and WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed and considered the revisions to the Engineering Standards for the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, on June 23, 2026, a public notice of these revisions was circulated in the San Mateo Daily Journal; and WHEREAS, on July 13, 2026, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Redwood City Municipal Code, to consider revisions to the Engineering Standards shown in Exhibit A. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS:
