9 <br /> <br />We will work closely with the ADU Resource Center’s Steering Committee to ensure that <br />San Mateo County jurisdictions retain an oversight role over the functioning and activities <br />of the ADU Resource Center SMC in a merged organizational structure. <br />What this means for SMC member jurisdictions <br />Under the proposed structure, the ADU Resource Center of San Mateo County would move <br />away from CPC and likely transition to Community Initiatives, which would confer non- <br />profit status to the ADU Resource Center (TBC pending further financial and legal analysis). <br />Contracts would be executed with Community Initiatives as the fiscal sponsor. Otherwise, <br />member jurisdictions should not experience any changes to the level, quality or type of <br />services that their staff and residents have received since the ADU Resource Center’s <br />inception. <br />Our preference would be to align this transition with the start of a fiscal year (targeting <br />July 1) to align with current contract periods. However, we anticipate that implementation <br />may extend beyond this date.
