Attachment B <br />Society of St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County- Peninsula Family Resource Center SVDP’s <br />Peninsula Family Resource Center (PFRC), part of local safety net services, is a homeless prevention <br />program that helps families and individuals throughout San Mateo County. SVDP provides assistance <br />with basic survival needs, such as food, rent and utility payments, transportation, clothing, and furniture to <br />working-poor families and individuals, the unemployed, and seniors living on fixed-incomes- to help keep <br />them housed and fed. <br />Funding Requested $15,000. <br />Recommended Funding $15,000. <br />Upward Scholars Safety Net Fund for Redwood City Residents: <br />Upward Scholars supports immigrant residents to move up the economic ladder through education and <br />career development support – offering academic, financial, holistic and career development programs. <br />The Safety Net Fund, created during the pandemic and sustained with the support of generous donors, <br />provides students with help with rent, utilities, food, childcare, and medical expenses so that they can <br />continue to focus on their educational goals. <br />Funding Requested $15,000. <br />Recommended Funding $11,000. <br />7.C. - Page 9 of 23 <br />39
