Page 10 of 23
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
Figure 5: Current GDAP Boundary with Existing & Planned Bike Network
as Adopted in “RWC Walk Bike Thrive”
Policy/Regulatory Updates & Capital Improvements Under Development in Potential Expansion Area
Land Use
In addition to the potential GDAP boundary expansion, the City Council is also scheduled to consider a
package of Zoning Code amendments at its hearing on July 13, 2026. Included in the package are two
changes related to permitted land uses and parking regulations within the Light Industrial Incubator (LII)
and Mixed Use Transitional (MUT) zoning districts (which are co-terminus with the Light Industrial
Incubator Overlay and Mixed Use Transitional General Plan designations, respectively). If approved by the
Council, the zoning amendments would:
Permit indoor recreation uses (e.g. bowling alleys, billiard parlors, skating arenas, gymnasiums,
exercise facilities, etc.) by-right in the LII and MUT zoning districts rather than as conditionally
permitted uses (LII) or not permitted (MUT), as they are today, and;
Reduce parking requirements for restaurant and retail uses in the LII zoning district.
9.A. - Page 10 of 27
537
