Page 4 of 5 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />not outweigh the overall technical approach, schedule, QA/QC, and level of effort reflected in Schaaf & <br />Wheeler’s proposal. <br />Based on the overall evaluation, staff recommends awarding the contract to Schaaf & Wheeler for design <br />services and engineering support during bidding and construction of the Project in the amount of <br />$657,095. <br />Following City Council approval, contract execution is anticipated July 2026, with design anticipated to be <br />completed in February 2027. <br />EQUITY IMPACT <br />All City actions are assessed for impact. Because this item is on the consent calendar, this section indicates <br />assessment process, not findings. The anticipated impact of this action has been assessed in the following <br />ways: <br />Reviewed from similar or relevant past program or policy in Redwood City <br />Reviewed data related to a standard or emerging best practice <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no impact to the General Fund associated with this contract. The Project is budgeted in the Water <br />Capital Projects Fund 686 – Pump Station and Tank Rehabilitation Program 84079. The recommended <br />action authorizes design services and engineering consulting services during the construction phase. The <br />construction cost and associated schedule will be determined during the design phase. Once design is <br />complete and funding is available for construction, staff will return to the City Council for approval of a <br />construction contract. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This action is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines Section 15378, because the award of a design services contract has no potential to result in <br />either a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
