Learn why this is important <br />Dear Mayor Martinez Saballos and members of the Redwood City City Council: <br />Thank you! I am so glad you requested the supplemental economic and fiscal impact report <br />on the proposed rent and eviction control ballot measure. This measure extends so much more <br />than just affecting landlords. This will have a major effect on City Finances. <br />The supplemental report confirms that the measure could have significant impacts on city <br />resources, program costs, affordable housing, older rental housing, repairs, rehabilitation, <br />utility costs and long-term housing preservation. <br />I am a provider of naturally affordable housing in Redwood City. If this new policy goes into <br />effect I and most of the other long term owners of older homes allowing for naturally <br />affordable housing, will not be able to survive financially. We will be forced to leave vacant, <br />sell to a developer and or not maintain the property causing blight in RWC. <br />I respectfully urge the City Council to place the initiative on the November ballot so voters <br />can decide.
