REV: 06-24-26 VR <br />EXHIBIT B-Purpose and Activities <br />CORA’s client-centered services include the following: <br />1.Mental Health resources: individual and family therapy and support groups. <br />2.Legal assistance – advocacy and representation: advocacy services such as <br />support with document preparation for family law court filings, empowerment to <br />assert rights as a crime victim in criminal cases, and accompaniment to provide <br />emotional support before, during and after court hearings or to make law <br />enforcement reports; representation is limited and includes domestic violence <br />restraining order cases, limited family law cases and criminal cases where the <br />survivor’s testimony is required. <br />3.Safe housing/Supportive Housing: temporary, confidential, residential safe <br />housing in an inclusive facility for all genders/gender identities, backgrounds, <br />sexual orientations and more. Supportive housing offers rental location <br />services/landlord liaison relationships and financial assistance for security deposit <br />and utility deposits. <br />4.Safety planning and assessments: safety planning is a critical component of <br />supporting individuals experiencing domestic violence. By tailoring plans to each <br />client’s unique circumstances, CORA ensures individuals have actionable <br />strategies to enhance their safety and well-being. During the pilot phase at Fair <br />Oaks Community Center CORA staff will provide: <br />Personalized Safety Plans: Collaborating with clients to develop <br />individualized safety plans that address their immediate and long-term <br />safety needs, including strategies for navigating high-risk situations. <br />Risk Assessments: Conducting thorough assessments to identify risk <br />factors, including signs of escalating violence or potential lethality, to guide <br />intervention and prioritize client safety. <br />Resource Coordination: Connecting clients with critical resources such as <br />emergency shelter, legal support, and counseling services to address their <br />unique needs holistically. <br />By incorporating safety planning and risk assessments into its onsite services, CORA <br />ensures individuals receive proactive, tailored support. These efforts empower clients and <br />serve as a foundation for long-term safety and stability. <br />In addition to direct client services, CORA will implement initiatives designed to build trust <br />and foster community engagement, including: <br />Staff Training Programs <br />Tabling and Outreach Events <br />These efforts are designed to cultivate a sense of safety, belonging, and empowerment <br />within the community. <br />ATTY/AGR.2026.161/Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) (Page 10 of 12)
