REV: 06-18-26 VR <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES, TERMS, COMPENSATION FEE AND SCHEDULE <br />A.1 – SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />TASK 1 - PROJECT MANAGEMENT <br />This task provides the overall management of the project. This task includes but is not <br />limited to the following: <br />a) Provide project coordination; communicate project issues with the City; set up <br />the project, including developing the Consultant's project work plan, prepare a <br />project schedule, as well as monitoring and updating that schedule; track and <br />report job progress. <br />b) Perform quality control reviews and quality assurance of all project submittals. <br />There shall be no limit to the quantity of submittal reviews, however, estimated <br />hours for the proposal shall be based on previous similar projects by <br />Consultant. <br />c) Attend at least six (6) meetings with City staff: project kick-off meeting, <br />Preliminary Engineering Report/Basis of Design meeting, 60% Design Review <br />meeting, Final Design review meeting, pre-bid meeting and pre-construction <br />meeting. All design meetings will be held virtually, and construction meetings <br />will be held in-person. <br />Deliverables: <br />Monthly Meetings Agendas – PDF <br />Monthly Schedule Update – PDF <br />Progress reports – PDF. Submitted via E-mail one business day before each <br />monthly meeting <br />Meeting minutes: delivered via E-mail one business day after the meeting – Word <br />(.docx) when draft and PDF when final <br />TASK 2 – BASE MAP, SURVEYING AND UTILITIES RESEARCH INVESTIGATION <br />This phase provides the surveying, utilities, and geotechnical research for the project. <br />The tasks include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />a) Research and review existing utilities from City as-built plans and private utility <br />companies. <br />b) Prepare the topographic base map for the project. All surface features (e.g. <br />drain inlets, trees, water valves, etc.), utility information and base mapping <br />approximately 20 feet beyond the limits of the project shall be included. <br />c) Review and investigate land entitlements and easements. <br />d) Review available information and/or conduct geotechnical investigation, as <br />needed for design. <br />e) Pothole at locations, as approved by the City Engineer or their designee, to <br />confirm the location and depth of existing utilities. <br />ATTY/AGR.2026.153/Schaaf & Wheeler (Carson Potable Water Pump Station Replacement Proj) (Page 11 of 16)
