Learn why this is important <br />Hello Patrick - <br /> <br />This is a follow up to our amendment request and Council action scheduled for the July <br />27th meeting. We are glad to have the amendment going to the City Council for review and <br />consideration. This project is extremely beneficial to the City of Redwood City and its residents <br />and local communities, and we are pleased to be providing design services for its <br />advancement. We also understand the importance of project momentum and schedule as we <br />head toward the last portion of the design phase and toward construction in 2027. <br /> <br />We realize that delays in our financial reporting and invoicing left the City unclear of our <br />budget balance and the status of the project design. This lack of reporting understandably led <br />to the City’s frustration and we are instituting changes moving forward to remedy this. <br /> <br />Through discussions with the City staff, we have considered a cost reduction of some form to <br />offset this circumstance. In considering this, we realize that continuing to work throughout this <br />amendment process, while a risk for AECOM, has saved about six months of schedule - i.e.
