Closed-Session Review and Consensus-Building <br />Facilitate a Closed Session with the City Council to review the draft evaluation <br />refine key messages, and reach consensus on performance findings and forward- <br />looking goals. <br />Discuss the Council’s preference for including each appointed official during this <br />stage or for sharing the final draft only after Council deliberations—an approach to <br />be determined in the initial project meeting. <br />7. Finalization and Delivery of Evaluation Documents <br />Incorporate Council revisions and finalize the evaluation report and goals for <br />appointed official. <br />Provide guidance on implementation, follow-through, and recommended <br />communication practices. <br />8. Post-Process Debriefing <br />Conduct a debrief with the City Council and with the appointed officials to assess <br />process strengths and areas for improvement. <br />Recommend strategies for ongoing communication, mid-year check-ins, and <br />continuous performance management. <br />Optional Services <br />9. Direct Reports Feedback (360-Style Input) <br />• At the Human Resources Director’s direction, create and conduct a 360-degree <br />evaluation questionnaire to solicit feedback for the City Council’s consideration. <br />The 360 could include Department Heads and direct reports as approved by the <br />appointees. <br />10. Compensation and Market Analysis <br />• At the Human Resources Director’s direction, prepare a compensation memo for <br />City Council consideration of compensation adjustments, contract negotiation, <br />preparation and approval resulting from the performance evaluations. <br />11.
