Extends expanded unemployment benefits and the COBRA health Insurance subsidy by <br />six months; <br />. Provides $23.5 billion to extend the federal match for payments to doctors under <br />Medicaid through June 2011; and <br />. FeinstelnLetter.pdf <br /> <br />Update from California Communities Clean Energy Financing Program <br /> <br />California FIRST is a property assessment-based financing program for the installation of energy <br />efficiency upgrades and clean energy facilities on private property pursuant to California's Clean <br />Energy Municipal Financing Law, AB 811. California Communities has been developing the <br />CaliforniaFIRST program in partnership with Renewable Funding and RBC Capital Markets. <br /> <br />Important milestones and current status: <br /> <br />. A pilot for the CalifomiaFIRST Program was approved by the California Communities <br />board in September for local agencies that had already indicated interest in partnering <br />with CallforniaFIRST. <br /> <br />. A January 2010 launch for the pilot program legal process Is planned, with the ability to <br />begin accepting applications from the public in participating jurisdictions anticipated by <br />the middle of the year. <br /> <br />. California Communities intends to extend CaliforniaFIRST to include all interested cities <br />and counties following a successful pilot.
