<br />8 Amendments <br /> <br />8.1 This MOD may be amended in writing. <br /> <br />8.2 Addition of new Member Agencies: If additional agencies <br />choose to become Member Agencies after the signing of this MOD, <br />this agreement shall be amended in writing to include those agencies <br />as signatories. <br /> <br />9 Termination <br /> <br />9.1 MOD Termination: This MOD may be terminated by mutual <br />agreement of all Member Agencies. <br /> <br />9.2 Member Agency Termination: Any Melnber Agency may tenninate <br />its participation in this MOD \vith or without cause upon thirty-day <br />(30) prior written notice to the Board of Police Chiefs and Sheriffs1 <br />unless such tennination is prohibited by a grant condition or unless <br />the Melnber Agency is a Host Node, If the Melnber Agency \vishes <br />to remove Data froll1 the Node after tennination of its participation, <br />that Melnber Agency \vill be responsible for any costs associated this <br />ren10val. <br />9.3 Host Node Tennination: A Melnber Agency that is also the Host of <br />the Node wishing to withdraw as a host or terminating its <br />participation in this MOD must inform the Board in writing no less <br />than one-hundred eighty-days (180) prior to termination. The <br />Board of Police Chiefs and Sheriffs is responsible for locating a <br />successor Host for the Node and assisting in the transition to the <br />new Host. <br />9.4 County of San Mateo Termination of Role as Fiscal Agent: The <br />County of San Mateo may terminate its role as the financial agent <br />for the Member Agencies with or without cause by informing the <br />Board of Police Chiefs and Sheriffs in writing no less than one- <br />hundred eighty -days (180) prior to termination. The departing <br />County is responsible in locating a successor fiscal agent and help in <br />the transition period. Termination by the County requires a review <br />of financial statements to assure a smooth transition of the books <br />and accounts to the new fiscal agent. Termination of the County of <br />San Mateo as fiscal agent shall not serve to terminate that agency's <br />Member Agency status. <br /> <br />WEISS West Bay Region Node MOU Agreement <br /> <br />Page 10 of 48 <br />
