<br />7.5 Financial Responsibility: The San Mateo County Sheriffs Office <br />will be responsible for the payment of any initial costs to connect <br />to the WBISS Node data repository, which may include acquiring <br />hardware, software, data communication equipment and/or services <br />prior to 2011 out of the 2007 grant award by the Office of Homeland <br />Security. They will pay for the necessary hardware infrastructure <br />for the West Bay Region Node. After 2011, those costs related to <br />maintenance and upgrades to the system will revert to the Member <br />Agencies. Nothing included in this MOD requires any agency to <br />fund the activities of any other Member agency. <br /> <br />7.6 Payment Schedule <br /> <br />7.6.1 Office of Homeland Security: The 2007 grant award by the <br />Office of Homeland Security will pay for the necessary hardware <br />infrastructure for the West Bay Region Node, 100% of the data <br />integration costs for each Member agency, the enterprise software <br />license fee, and two years of maintenance. The following outlines <br />the initial and ongoing Inaintenance costs for Melnber Agencies to <br />participate in the WBISS Node. These Inaintenance costs are <br />subject to review and additional asseSSlnent by the Chiefs. <br /> <br />7.6.2 Annual Maintenance: Agency annuallnaintenance will not be <br />due until 2011. Maintenance costs \vill be invoiced by the County of <br />San Mateo. The annual paynlent is due within 30 days of receipt by <br />Inelnber agencies. If paYl11ent or paYlnent arrangelnents have not <br />been agreed to, services will be tenninated. <br /> <br />To purchase all necessary hardware and start data integration with <br />gmnting: <br /> <br />Initial Data Mapping/Integration $999,825.62 <br /> <br />The following estimated maintenance fees includes the software <br />maintenance fees from KCC and the hardware, location and <br />maintenance fees necessary to support the node infrastructure. <br />These ongoing sustainment costs will be due annually after the KCC <br />warranty period is complete and grant funding is exhausted. <br />Estimated to start in July 2011. <br /> <br />Annual Maintenance for Node sustainment $142,817.82 or an <br />approximate cost of$33.00 per sworn officer, per year. <br /> <br />WEISS West Bay Region Node MOU Agreement <br /> <br />Page 9 of 48 <br />
